Re: MOYES
Leaving out his career at Everton and Man U..

319 games, 133 wins, 80 draws, 106 loses. Win percentage = 31.82%

His win percentage has been dropping at each of the clubs he has managed since 1998. From 48.29% at Preston North End to 18.60% at Sunderland.

So it's a no from me.

Re: MOYES
BFS has retired from football management, Trevor B told me.

Even though I’d take him short term over Moyes. I’m struggling to think who I wouldn’t take over Moyes.

Am I missing something or has Moyes been officially appointed? I can't see anything on other sports sites.

Re: MOYES
I doubt you could find 2% of West ham supporters who would want him as manager but who knows he could be perfect for now. I honestly think defense is what needs sorting most urgently, and Moyes may be the man to do that.

Re: MOYES
Would be a fucking catastrophic appointment. What we all need now is some fucking inspiration and, dare I say it, hope.

I see absolutely none of that coming from David Moyes at this stage of a career that started so promisingly at Preston, developed very well at Everton, but then subsequently fell off a cliff after poor stints and Man Utd, Sociedad and Sunderland.

I'm not saying he's a bad bloke, and he may well go somewhere and get back to the levels of competence displayed at Everton, but from where I'm sat he looks like a busted flush with no self confidence at fucking all.

While I wish him well, this is not what we need at WHU. The atmosphere would be toxic from day one, his confidence would plunge even further, the players won't have certainty about who's in charge for the medium to long term, and we'll end up continuing down the current pathway which is relegation form, at the moment.

I see the statement made by the Chairmen that talks about an "exciting opportunity". That simply cannot include David Moyes. To be honest, I've been a supporter of the owners since they arrived, but they have got to learn from mistakes past, and Moyes would, I believe, be a disaster on par with Avram Grant.

Time to put up the readies for the right bloke, not the best available and out of work due to past incompetencies...

I'll stick my neck out here and say i don't expect Moyes to get a single win, that's how lame i think this appointment is

"BFS was and is an utter cunt - he is however, a capable cunt who delivered to job spec'"

For proof of this see BFS Sunderland in 15/16 compared to Moyes Sunderland in 16/17. I'd take BFS over this cunt all day long if these were the only choices available.

If he does the exact opposite to my expectations, Man City will be trembling in their boots by the end of the season.

Re: MOYES
I actually think Moyes's appointment could turn out ok for the simple reason that every time I have expectations of good stuff from West Ham they let me down.

When I expect disaster I have been pleasantly surprised.

Currently, I am expecting a massive disaster when Moyes turns up.

And I fully expect him to be gone by January!

Re: MOYES
For a number of years, whoever has been the manager, we seem to have had a team that is less than the sum of its parts. Good players who have done well before and after us so often failed to impress.

The good managers have the ability to build and motivate teams that can bring the best out of their squad and create a team where everyone works for each other, resulting in performances that raise the overall player standard. Little evidence that Moyes can do this, but who else is free with that kind of managerial expertise?

Are you suggesting our silly hat wearing co-owner is something of an egomaniac? ;-)
